Sympathy cards are definitely not something I keep a stock of... I don't want to have to think about sympathy cards. But I wanted to create something that not only showed sympathy, but also bring a little light with my card - even if it's just for a moment.
I used Stampin' Up products for this card (except for the sequins) using now one of my favorite stamps Flower Patch. I stamped the large flowers in a light pink, stamped the middle flower once off to get a medium pink color from a dark pink ink pad and the inner part of the flower with a dark pink. I hope that made sense.
The leaves are similarly stamped. They are the same color ink, the larger part of the leaves are stamped off once to get a lighter color.
The sentiment is from another photopolymer stamp set called Sweetie Pie Frames. Such a cute set! The pink sequins were added to bring a little shine to the card and dimension.
Do you keep sympathy cards in your stash? I may keep some flowers pre-stamped and add a sentiment later just in case I need a card since I think this design can be very versatile.
