The biggest crafty challenge right now is #listersgottalist. I'm sure you've seen it if you follow crafty folks on Instagram. I saw a couple doing it in April and thought it was a cute idea. So I ordered my journal from Stampin' Up! and waited to follow along in May. I decorated the book using some of my favorite decorations - a tag, washi tape, twine, paper clips and sequins. I wanted to go with kraft monochrome with a pop of turquoise (that LOVE clip was just begging to be used).
I also knew I wanted to try and keep things kinda flat in the journal so it can actually close. I know it'll pop up a bit by the end, but still. So I added a little dimension to the front of the journal instead. Then I got started on typing out the different prompts for the month and printed them out so they would be easy to glue into the journal.
I think all my pages will have the number stamped on a hexagon piece of paper and the partnered with washi tape and the printed out prompt. But we'll see. :) I also am exited to use up some of my stash. I knew I wanted to use the Amy Tangerine floral watercolor paper so I went through my stash to find paper and embellishments that would match.
I ended up using a couple old Studio Calico Project Life cards, washi tape, a big tag and some sequins. I also found it hard to sum up why I like to list... Is that weird? I love lists but to actually list out the reasons why were tough. Haha! But I'm looking forward to sharing more pages with you throughout the month.
