I subscribe to a lot of blogs via email. Especially blogs that have challenges! I love challenges! I know you've seen me do a few 10 Minute Craft Dashes, but I also love color, theme and layout challenges. I am also Type A. So having a clean inbox is a must. So, in order to keep track of challenges, I created a Pinterest Board!
This board is constantly being edited - I delete past challenges or ones that I have completed as well as any new ones that I find via email or just surfing the net. If you like to play with challenges too, then follow my board! Re-pin challenges that look fun to you. I never do all of them, but I like having them there if I'm stuck in a creative rut. They really do help get you going!
Neon is still in, right? Well, it should be if it's not. Because I LOVE my new Hero Arts Neon ink pads! I have been waiting to get these to go with my cute Freckled Fawn OHdeerMe Neon Embellishment Kit and some neon embossing power. For this card I used Lawnscaping's latest challenge: Embossing.
I used Lawn Fawn's Interlocking Background stamps and did a mix of ink and embossing - some of the powder mixed in with the inked parts, but I love it! I just need to get one of those Embossing Buddy things to avoid that in the future. Especially on my sentiment! I tried so hard with a fine tip brush to get the unwanted powder removed, but alas it did not turn out perfect.
Overall, I think the card turned out pretty cute. I love all the bright colors with the white! I also made it a square card, but I think the in future if I do an A2 size, I will do more colors in the pattern.
Do you like neon? Have you used in your crafting?
