6 Blogger Days to Halloween! My bats are lining up nicely on my countdown banner and I love seeing my witch's hat on my side table in the living room. My mom and I bought these hats at a scrapbook store in San Diego when we were on our Shop Hop! They were really quite easy to decorate after visiting Michael's on a week that all of their Halloween decor pieces were half off. :)
We painted the hats black, wrapped the ribbon around the hat and tied a bow. We glued it in place (but not directly behind the bow) and added a few dots of glue around the hat to keep the ribbon in place. Then we hot glued the different embellishments behind the knot of the ribbon. I love how it turned out! It's a bit glittery (the ribbon sheds a bit) but as long as it sits in place, the glitter doesn't get everywhere. Before I pack it away I'll shake off as much glitter as I can and wrap it up in tissue paper.
It probably took us 10 minute to make; it was so easy and so fun! Perfect for a Halloween craft night.
