I have a quick post today (and tomorrow and Saturday - there won't be a Project Life update this week) because I'm prepping for a church women's retreat this weekend! I found out this week that I will be in charge of a craft table. Which is super exciting! I love sharing what I love most with other people. Which usually are other women. So this is perfect!
For the craft, I wanted to do something "simple." Not simple in looks or anything, but simple as in how-much-stuff-am-I-going-to-have-to bring simple. I remembered seeing a Stampin' Up! card a while ago with a very elegant, but simple look so I fashioned this card:
I used Primrose Petals paper and ink, Riding Hood Red ink, Summer Starfruit paper and ink, Soft Suede ink, Very Vanilla paper and some brown twine I had in my twine collection. The two punches I used were the Scallop Trim Border and a retired Butterfly punch (similar). I used a retired stamp set, but you could use any set that has a cordinating punch, like one with hearts or scallops or flowers...
The plan is to get A2 card bases with envelopes ready (okay I skipped this step and bought pre-made), cut 4 x 4" pieces of white and cream colored paper and cut 4 x 1" pieces of colored paper that coordinate with the pre-made cards I bought. That way, all the ladies need to do is stamp, punch and glue. Oh, and tie a piece of twine. Easy peasy. Well, for them. I have some cutting to do tonight.
Tomorrow I'll show you everything I'm bringing as well as the other "thing" I'm in charge of this weekend. Saturday I plan to take a few videos of the retreat (like ladies crafting) and I'll get them posted Saturday if I have service. Otherwise, look for it on Sunday!
