Well, that was much longer than I week like I said I was going to take... It was almost 2 months! :) But lots of things have happened these past weeks and it made it difficult to find time to craft or write something even slightly inspirational or interesting. Well, I guess some things might have been interesting.
Our reception went off perfectly! All of the decorations looked beautiful and it was just how I imagined it would look. Doing a DIY reception was stressful and incredibly time consuming, but so worth it. I think everyone had a great time and I'll have more pictures soon showing all of the decorations. I really couldn't have done it without my wonderful family and great friends (especially who stuck around to help when we were all so very tired).
In other big news, for those of you who don't already know because we're maybe not friends on Facebook, I'm pregnant! I am currently 14 weeks along and finally out of the morning sickness phase. But I'm still pretty tired all of the time and it really hasn't quite hit me yet. I mean, I'm super excited (even thought it was a BIG surprise) but it still doesn't seem real! Just when I get an ultrasound or hear the heartbeat does it make me so scared and anxious to be a mommy! I'm not ready to grow up! Haha! :)
But what really has consumed me the past few weeks is getting ready to move... As of this weekend I am a Huntington Beach, CA resident! All of my craft stuff is in boxes and waiting in its new home. I'm so excited to have a craft room for about 4 months. Then it will be the nursery/craft room. I hope to get as much as I can done in those 4 months (like Christmas cards, catching up on Project Life, making decorations for our new home, etc.) and then putting together the nursery will be so fun! Here's a small panaramic shot of the boxes in the room (I have too much stuff). There's also a closet you can't really see on the left corner of the room.
I was lucky to only have to help move one day this weekend (my poor husband did a lot of work this weekend) because on Saturday I went to some stores with my mom and craft friends from the Make & Take Club that are in the So Cal Shop Hop. We went to stores in San Bernardino and northern LA. It was a lot of fun but very tiring (this baby is wearing me out). Here's a quick collage of the stores photo op's!
I'm anxious to get unpacked and re-organize my craft room. I'm not sure how much I'll get done this week (I think the bulk will be next week) but I do have some photos I want to share from my reception that I'll be posting soon.
During this break I've also thought about where I want my blog to go... I think it's going to end up becoming a bit personal (with the baby and everything) but I will still show off projects I've made and other crafty adventures. Until I get more settled and can actually use my craft supplies again, my posts may not be as frequent. But I'm still around! :)
