This thing seriously keeps me sane. I am SO Type A that I feel better knowing that I have all the things I need to do on paper and together and give my brain a little break. :) This month I will give you a peek into what I keep in planner/ notebook. There are a bunch of photos so make sure to keep reading after the jump!
I bought this super fun blue notebook with gold polka dots at Target. It's perfect. It even has a woodgrain pattern on the inside. I also keep a pencil (or pen) and a highlighter (or maker) handy. I change up the colors on how I'm feeling that week. :) I also bought tabs, pockets (not pictured in my post but they're in there) and lined paper.
With my 5 tabs, I have 5 sections: To Do & Calendar, Prayer Journal for Jonny, Prayer Journal for myself, Design Team, Wedding Reception. That last tab will eventually change to something else, but the reception being a month away, I've got my To Do List and other reception stuff.
I keep my To Do Lists first so I can get a visual of what I need to accomplish this week (I like to keep it by weeks). I list days out of it is a daily task. After my lists (I haven't tossed old ones out), I have my blog calendar. I use a cute calendar by Ellinee I found online for free. I write my blog posts out in pencil. It gives me goals as well as flexibilty if something comes up I'd rather blog about or a project didn't get finished in time.
The next two sections I'm not going to go in too much detail but I've read a couple books with great prayers for your husband and yourself that I photocopied (SHH!) and keep for personal use so I don't have to lug two books around with me. I do my best to read one a day for both of us. :)
The fourth section houses my notes and drawings for the Design Teams I am on for Make & Take Club and Stamp Fever. I won't show too much here, but if you're not on a design team you could use this section for drawings, designs, ideas you get for future projects. Eventually I want to add a list of product I use for these teams so I can keep in mind class ideas.
My final section is my To Do List for my wedding reception. It looks so daunting (it is daunting)! But it helps me stay on track with everything that still needs to get done remind me to stay on track. Once the reception is over, this will be a great section for another large goal (getting a resale license, planning a trip, financial, etc).
Do you keep a planner/notebook to keep you on track? Please share any other ideas of what to keep in your planner below in the comments!
