It's Tuesday & time for the latest Iron Craft Challenge: "Rainy Days." The challengers were asked to make something Craft up something that makes you think of rainy days, whether it’s the clouds, color of the sky, or something you use on a rainy day. I decided to keep it simple since I've got too many other reception projects going on and pulled out my paper and stamps.
I created this card using Lawn Fawn stamps, glossy accents, Stampin' Up! ink and sequins. I didn't intend to use sequins but I made a small inky mistake (pressed to hard and got some extra ink I didn't want) so I took the opportunity to add some bling. I wanted to get a rainy feel so I added glossy accents to the umbrella and a few of the rain drops.
I really liked how it turned out and it was super simple, too. I think this would make a great sympathy card or a card when you know someone is going through a hard time. I think it conveys that you're thinking of the person, but also trying to help lift their spirits.
Do you give sympathy cards? Do you try to make them cheerful?
