Time for another Iron Craft Challenge! This challenge was guest hosted by an Iron Crafter and he picked Ethnic Crafting. Honestly, I was stumped. Most of my crafting revolves around cutesy and themed, rather than "American." So I sat and stared at my craft supplies and brainstormed.
After a few minutes, I pulled out a box of stamps and found my super fun Bombshell Stamps I bought with Sugar Skulls! I wasn't sure if I wanted to use them on a card, so I decided to stamp on tags that can later be put on cards or use them as gift tags. Here's how they turned out:
The first tag was perfectly sized for the stamp. I colored them in with Letraset markers and flicked a little Heidi Swapp Color Shine. The second tag I did the same thing with the three different sugar skull stamps and flower stamp. I liked using such bright colors together.
The last tag I decided to use the misters with a banner mask. I stamped the sugar skull and used a post-it note to mask it off to color after misting. I used the mask with four different colors, used my heat gun to speed up the drying and used a black marker to draw in the banners. Just like the other two tags, I used my Letraset markers to color in the sugar skull.
I really love how they turned out! They're going to be great inspiration for around Halloween, too!
