My reception invitations are coming along. I just need to find a Michaels that carries Silhouette blades so I can get some cutting done! I should maybe just buy it on Amazon.
I took a quick break from my stamping and created this card using a Studio Calico kit. I think it turned out pretty cute. It was simple & quick; a great little card to be a bit more creative with as I'm assembly line-ing the invites.
The sentiment is my favorite part about the kit. It reminds me of a Mumford & Sons song which makes me happy. I stamped the flower & paired it with some green Amy Tangerine leaves. I really liked the tissue "scraps" from the kit, but when the sentiment dried I noticed it turned out a bit fuzzy. I think it's the texture from the scrap. I was going to add a little bee, but it didn't think it matched with the vibe of the card so I decided to just go with some twine & added the brown hearts instead. I love it!
The contrasting checkered patters I think are really neat, especially since it's a bit more subtle on the blue scrap.
I'm also working on some cute cards for my Iron Craft post next Tuesday that I also need to get mailed! Can you believe it's almost the 17th?!
