Happy Wednesday! Today's Pinsday is going to be a project I worked on to give to my bridesmaids. I saw this really cute idea on Pinterest and I adapted it to fit my style as well as our reception style.
I started with a cigar box from Michaels and had Jonny stain it, but with a light stain so it looked natural. I think it would have been pretty darker as well, but I really liked how it turned out. I wrote each maids' name on a tag and used a piece of washi tape to keep it on the box. I tied some gold and cream baker's twine around the box for a little more decoration.
Inside of the box I included a small can of sparkling wine, a tag with bobby pins I made with my maid Tammy, color swatches, information about the big day and all of the maids, inspiration photos and a personal card. I had some cute camera paper clips from Studio Calico as well as an extra paper doily from my invitations (coming soon).
To create the color swatches, I cut extra pieces of paper and tied them with a piece of blue and white baker's twine. The pins were created with super cute pins and flowers from an Etsy shop: HeavenlyOgres. The yellow ones were from Michaels, though. The blue tags are from Paper Source and I used some washi tape and lace tape to decorate the tags.
I think all the girls loved them as much as I loved making them! They've already picked out most of their dresses and I'm getting soooo excited for our reception. :) Hope you enjoyed the box!
