Have you seen doily dream catchers?! They are so beautiful! Here are three that I found online that I just thought were gorgeous. Pins to the sources are underneath.
I'm not really into feathers, but I am into doilys, leather ribbon (I guess is what I would call it), lace and beads! So I used the inspiration from Pinterest to create my own version. I used blue leather to wrap around a thick wire I had at home (looks a little like this stuff) and looped around again to attach the dily in the center. I made a little loop at the top so it would hang easily. I used hot glue as needed to keep things in place.
I added various ribbons, lace, black leather and rope by knotting double knots onto the bottom of the dream catcher. Except for the rope. That stuff is thick. You could a little a bit of hot glue to your knots if you're worried about them coming loose. I tried not to not put things too similar next to each other to give a fun, but organized - 'cause that's the way I like it - look.
On the leather strands, I added a few of my favorite beads (plastic, shiny hearts and wood). I think it call came together so beautifully and it will be hanging next to my side of the bed. I'm in love with all the different ribbons and lace!
