Week 6! Wrapping up November and just starting into December 2012. I used the yellows, browns and black from the Brooklyn Flea kit along with a cute stamp from a New Years set from Studio Calico. Which I think was free, but the stamp was messed up! Part of the line of the arrow is missing. So, I just used a pen in the same color ink to fill in the line. Kind of a bummer 'cause I love it so much. But, it was free. And they gave it to me 3 months ago. Chances of getting a new one is probably pretty slim.
Yikes, pardon the glare from the plastic... I took photos yesterday and realized they came out all blurry, so these new ones had a little more sun exposure.
The left page is a layout of when I came home one night and Jonny had this super sweet table set up with chocolate and candles. He's so romantic! :) The layout is inspired by Studio Calico's Sunday Sketch. It's a bit hard to see, but if you click the photo it gets a little bigger and you'll see I attempted some messy stitching on the bottom right. It's in yellow. It was weird. I'm so used to clean stitching, but I always love those layouts with messy stitching. I'm too Type A, maybe.
I Googled the actual size cards to use with the Project Life 3 x 4" slots. I always cut my photos down to that size and they almost never fit. This time I cut these photos 2-7/8 x 3-15/16" and they fit a million times better. I guess I could have left it 4" but I read that that was the actual size of the PL cards. Just need to make sure I cut them the same on ther side.
I have my Week Title, photos from the week with a mix of digital journaling and stickers. The bottom right has the week review. Depending on the number of pictures I want to use will depend if I combine the title and the review in the same slot. I used the new week stamp set from the Neverland Project Life kit from Studio Calico. I love it! It's perfectly sized! Which is probably why it's in the Project Life kit...
When I finished my layout, I decided t make a couple cards using the other Studio Calico Sunday Sketch. It was great because I pretty much only have scraps left of the paper I used for the banners. I hate throwing scraps away! I have a little bit more left of the kit to work on my next layout for December and the rest I'll do some die cutting with like I did with my last kit.
Except for the buttons and the grain embossed card, everything is from the SC kit. I used Stampin' Up! inks, buttons and card stock. The embossing folder is THE BEST. I love Stampin' Up!'s quality embossing folders. Get yours here. Oh, also. The "pin" above is for the card and the "pin" below is for the layout. :)
