You read the title right... I got 2 weeks done! Wee! Week 12 just did not have enough photos for a double layout so I partnered it up with Week 13. Which actually might have had enough room for a full layout. So I decided to use an insert for a couple photos and a memento.
I used Studio Calico's Project Life and Scrapbook Kit from January (Block Party). I ran out of the 4 x 6" cards so I needed to mix in some paper from the scrapbook kit. (I actually just threw all 3 Block Party kits together in a container since I've pretty much used up all of them.) Here is the layout without the insert.
The left page is mostly Week 12. I have both week reviews on the bottom right insert. To be honest, I kept getting stuck in a rut when it came to journaling about the pictures. I think I need to do a mixture again of digital journaling on the photo before printing it out. Next PL session.
The right page is Week 13 (plus a ticket stub from Week 12). I kept with the same theme of the left page - using the tags for journaling on the photos and adding the chipboard embellishments and stitching. I did some journaling about our dinner at Downtown Disney and the 5K I did with my mom the next morning.
The insert I kept simple (I felt like the 12 x 12" pages were pretty busy as it was) by just putting the two photos I took from the 5K - start and finish - and my bib from the race on the back.
I'm really happy to have completed 3 weeks this week! I do feel like I'm finding a bit more of my style... But I also feel rushed. I hate being so behind so I'm trying to get through it. But I need to remember that when I look back at these books, I want them to look great and enhance my photos... Not feel so rushed. Something to think about as I work next week.
