Happy Birthday, Michael!
Today is my cousin's birthday and this is the (very) simple card I made for his birthday card. It's always difficult for me to design masculine cards, especialy since I like to tailor make them to fit personalities! You may remember the card I made him last year. As much as I wanted to use the giant math stamp again, I thought I'd go a different route. He's a pretty smart kid and mastered the Rubik's Cube so I thought it would be fun (and a great way to use scraps) to make a card that looked like one!
The card base is a 4 x 4" card made from Basic Black paper. I grabbed my scrap boxes and pulled out different colors that you find on a Rubik's Cube and cut nine 1 x 1" squares. I glued them 1/4" from the edges and from each other. Super easy, right?
I hope he enjoys the card and hopefully give some inspiration to you, too! PS. I just noticed that there's a dog hair on my card. Sheesh...
Paper: Basic Black (Stampin' Up!), scraps of paper in blue, green, orange, red, white and yellow
