The final two cards I made using Field Guide! You can see everyting else I made using this kit if you'd like: PL Week 2, Cards, Tags, Butterfly Clips, Pinsday: Cards & PL Week 4.
I really liked this kraft paper & thought I'd use the dark blue along with the red from the kit to make something different from the rest. Most of the colors had been oranges, teals, pinks... But these two sheets of paper together brought in a whole different element.
I'm still working on my coloring skills - I'm happy I finally bought good paper for alcohol markers 'cause it sure does make a difference - but I think my mailbox & plane turned out pretty cute. Back to the colors. So, when I think of blue & red together I think of AMERICUH and The Postal Service. The latter being the inspiration for this card. :)
I just adore Lawn Fawn's sentiment "sending love your way," don't you? It's just too cute!
Now, I want to show you what I made using the same background but with the colors of the kit that I mentioned before (oranges, teals, pinks, etc).
This cards was seriously, so easy. I should have made it for the 10 Minute Craft Dash. Shoulda, woulda, coulda. Here's how you can make one:
(1) Cut & score the card base to an A2 size. (2) Cut your background paper 4 x 5-1/4". (3) Cut various sized pieces of paper - mine are 1/2" to 3/4" & various lengths. (4) Using your strips and washi tape, create a layered look & glue in place. (5) Use a piercer & add brads as desired. (6) Glue the background to the card base - now with paper, washi & brads. (7) Using dimensionals, adhere a butterly or other embellishment.
