Snowflake Christmas Card

I think this year is the most Christmas cards I’ve ever made. I finally have all of my family’s addresses (at least those who we invited to our reception) and our list was over 100 long! We are so blessed with the amount of friends we have, too, because only 54 of those cards went to family.

With the exception of some of the cards I found while sorting through my craft supplies and the cute cards I made at Make & Take Club or my Paper Pumpkin kit, I made this snowflake card. It was such a simple design and required only stamping and sticking on some jewels. SO much more reasonable compared to some of the cards I’ve attempted to mass produce for Christmas before.

Don’t get me wrong, I love making more complex cards with pretty decorations. But when I’m making 100, the less complex the better… :)

I cut and scored all of the cards but left them flat to make stamping easier. I stamped the trio of snowflakes, then stamped “Christmas” and finally stamped “very merry.” After that I folded the cards put the bling on it! Everything here is by Stampin’ Up! I did put an Avery Elle sentiment inside the card – “Peace Joy Love” from their Winter Wreath set.

It was a happy day finishing up my Christmas cards and putting them in the mail. Jonny and I signed those cards like a machine and added our Christmas letter and family received a picture we took back in October with my baby bump. :)

Do you make Christmas cards in large amounts like me? Or do you make all unique? I guess it probably depends on how many cards you send out, right?

I love that design, especially for mass production. The design is simple yet so very elegant. I did have to make lots of the same card this year, but I guess that's because I sell them, but as far as cards sent out I think I made a variety and they were all very different. Many because I wanted to use all the Christmas paper that I bought, and didn't want to have it left over, haha. Merry Christas, Lauren!
