Last weekend I finally had some time to sit down and get thank you cards made. Most Christmas thank you's I make double as New Years cards as well. I read this saying on Pinterest and I thought it would be fun to to create it using different Lawn Fawn fonts with some fireworks and clinking champagne (or sparking apple cider) glasses.
First I stamped the fireworks in a pale pink (I was in the mood for pale pink and gold while making these cards).
Next I laid out my saying very carefully using a Fiskar Easy Stamp Press making sure to leave room for the banner and clinking glasses. I had to use some of the letters more than the number of stamps I had, so I went back after and filled in the blanks as needed with the right letters.
Next I stamped the glasses and masked them using a post-it note and stamped the banner and the rest of the sentiment. I colored in the glasses and "happy" using Letraset ProMarkers and added some gold to the fireworks and glasses using a gold gel pen I found in the dollar bins at Target.
The cards took a bit of work, but I am so pleased with how they turned out! You can see all the supplies I used at the end of the post.
I'm focusing a lot more than I thought I would have to on Abigail's first birthday party invitations... I'll show you those later - I'm almost done coloring them. Who would have thought coloring in donuts would take as long as I've taken... :)
